Long live Franco-Ontarian books!
September 25 is "I buy a Franco-Ontario book" day.
Well yes, there are Francophones in Ontario!
They even number more than 620,000, or 4.7% of the province's population.
So, do you know Andrée Poulin and Mireille Messier, two very prolific authors?
😀Andrée Poulin is passionate about social and environmental issues. Her picture books, novels, documentaries for all ages generously convey the emotions and moods of the characters, and some rightly challenge conventions.
😀 Mireille Messier has a great sense of humor. She also likes to gently change our perceptions and educate, even toddlers. Her books are enlightening and sometimes quite hilarious. She is also a voice-over artist.
