“Language Advocacy & Reclaiming the Joy of Languages and Bilingualism”
with Kathleen Stein-Smith
The learning and use of additional languages is associated with a wide range of personal and professional benefits, yet most K-12 students in the US do not study another language, and many do not have the opportunity to do so. Within the framework of advocacy for language learning and use, this session will specifically examine modern tools to advocate for French language and Francophone cultures in our schools and communities. It will also introduce diverse youth literature to foster linguistic security.
Saturday, March 16, 1:30pm
