For the citizens of Canada and the northern United States—who make up the Northern Alliance—as well as for the southern U.S. states torn apart by civil war, finance and gambling have become the primary means of getting rich. People bet on everything now: election outcomes, war, sports, reality TV, and, of course… video games.
To prove that her brother’s death was not in vain, Cameron Pilot hopes to become the champion of the game Warden. To do so, she must be selected for Pupilles, an intensive program run by the Northern Alliance that trains young talent to become professional gamers.
