Little Ella was very fond of singing and dancing. After a difficult adolescence, marked by the death of her mother, she began to perform in the streets of Harlem for a living. She could never have imagined that one day, thanks to her immense talent, she would be known around the world and that she would be nicknamed the Grande Dame of jazz.
