Tara manages to convince her mother to give her a year off to prepare for her auditions for the National Theater School with a coach recommended by her teacher. So she moves in with her cousin in Montreal, enthusiastic about her new life between a part-time job and her coaching sessions with Simon Lafleur.
From one meeting to another, however, Tara is disconcerted by Simon. Both funny and charming, demanding and tough, he never ceases to jostle and confuse her. Anxious, however, she refuses to talk about it. Even to his colleague Olivier, the so nice Olivier… But the practices of Cyrano de Bergerac become always more distressing. Will Tara be able to cope with the situation?
This first novel for teenagers by Frédérick Wolfe hits like a punch that we did not see coming. The author treats with accuracy and sensitivity the disarray of young people in the face of abusive adults present in various environments.
