Maria is convinced that her father, Tom Basile, hates her. Since she's supposed to spend the summer vacations with him in the community of Pimitshuan, she feels trapped. But her encounter with Kukuminash, a strange elder to say the least, and an equally strange shower of pollen flakes, send her back to her father's time as a teenager, at the heart of a tragic event that will affect the whole community.
