Grandpa calls them mosquitoes. Mummy calls them "maringuouins". Me, I hate them! While it is true that mosquitoes can ruin a beautiful summer day, they are also useful and necessary for life. Mosquitoes pollinate flowers in the garden, as well as those of fruit trees. Frogs feast on it, birds feed on it. Even bats gobble them up at night! Yes, mosquitoes are essential. So we endure them, even if they love us too much! Bzz-bzz-bzz!
